About Me…
EDUCATION
I completed my training at the University of Southern California where I received a Masters in Social Work from the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work as well as a Masters in Public Administration from the Sol Price School of Public Policy.
I am a trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapist. My practice is rooted in the theories of contextual behavioral science, which takes a closer look at the relationship we have, and how we interact with our past and current environments. Drawing upon this, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my goal is to assist in finding mental clarity and a sense of safety in feeling your emotions while being able to live a self-directed, full and meaningful life.
EXPERIENCE
I have over a decade of experience in working with people suffering from anxiety and depression. My experience covers cultures from the west coast of California to the east coast of New York City, and a little bit of the in-between of Utah, and from that experience I am able to understand unique challenges from a place of non-judgement and understanding. I come from a mixed cultural and ethnic background, which provides me a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges that can come with identity and how it relates to the Eastern Asian and Western cultures, anxiety, pressures, stressors etc.
SPECIALTIES
I specialize in treating adults who suffer from anxiety, depression and racial and cultural identity issues.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time outdoors with my partner and two children chasing waves and experiencing new cultures around the world.
